Teaching Ministries

Baptism Programs are offered for parents preparing to bring a child for the Sacrament of Baptism.  These classes are held monthly with the location rotated among churches in our area.  Please watch the bulletin or call the parish office for the schedule.

Parish School of Religion (P.S.R.) supports families in their role as primary religious educators of their children.  All children from kindergarten through eighth grades are welcome.  Classes, with the assistance of parents and other volunteers, are held during the academic year.  A summer intensive program is offered for students in grades 5 through 8.

Pre-Cana Team is comprised of married couples from the parish, who minister in conjunction with the Pastor, to present a day of marriage preparation for engaged couples from parishes throughout Lorain County.

Pre-School Formation meets twice a month on Sundays during the 10:30 a.m. Mass from fall through spring.  Classes introduce the children to the goodness and love of God on a level they can understand.

Vacation Bible School is offered each summer for primary grade children with older students assisting as partners.  The program is theme-centered and includes Bible lessons, music, crafts, and recreation.

Youth Ministry is about motivating and empowering students to become the best people they can be: the irreplaceable, unique members of the Body of Christ that God is calling them to be. Our program is "to, with, by, and for" youth and welcomes all high school and junior high school students from public as well as Catholic schools. Through events that include Liturgies, socials, retreats, service projects and programs geared towards the youth, our Youth Ministers work with the teens to plan a program and develop a community that provides opportunities for religious education, social interaction, and meaningful participation in the Church. Confirmation preparation is one elective, among others, offered for any high school student who desires to receive this Sacrament.
