Youth Ministry

Holy Spirit Parish Youth Ministry

Youth Ministry at Holy Spirit Parish is for junior high and high school teens interested in developing a community that provides opportunities for social interaction and meaningful participation in the church.  Our program includes liturgies, social events, retreats, service projects and programs geared towards and relevant to the issues and struggles that are faced daily by teens as they grow and mature.  We welcome all area teens to participate in any and all of the youth ministry events.  For more information, contact Dean Robinson at 440-725-9781 or consult the weekly bulletin for upcoming events.

Meet the Youth Minister

Dean Robinson

Dean Robinson has been involved in youth ministry for over 12 years in both a parish and school environment. He is a recipient of the "For God and For Youth" award, recognizing outstanding Christian service, Catholic leadership and high moral standards by the Cleveland Diocese. Dean has served as a leader of countless service projects and several mission trips, as well as taking groups of students to the National Catholic Youth Conferences. Dean currently serves as the Campus Youth Minister for Elyria Catholic High School, as well as Youth Minister for Holy Spirit Parish in Avon Lake and St. Teresa of Avila Parish in Sheffield Village. He continues to direct "The Living Stations of the Cross," which is a production that sees high school students travel, each year, around the Diocese of Cleveland to present this "prayer experience." For the past 15 years this production has been seen by thousands of people, with over 1,500 DVD copies sold.

Dean is frequently asked to speak and/or lead various retreats and functions and is recognized for his positive influence and impact on the lives of young people by parents, teachers, priests and clergy throughout our diocese.
