Participating Ministries

Book Group...This congenial group welcomes new members. It is not a “club,” there are no dues nor membership requirements and no certain number of meetings to attend.  The people who attend are interested in reading and discussing issues of faith, morality and spirituality as portrayed in our selections and in our own lives.  This is not as heavy as it may sound for you may hear much laughter in our gatherings and we are known for the great Christmas party we have each year.

Clerical Volunteers and Professional Volunteers...help in the parish office and offer their skills for special projects and services.

Finance Council...offers assistance to the Pastor in the administration of financial resources.  Members provide financial expertise and make recommendations on financial matters.

Holy Name Society...is open to all men of the parish.  They meet monthly, and as a Society receive Communion on the second Sunday of the month.  They assist in meeting social, physical, and charitable needs of the parish and Diocese.

Ladies Guild...is an organization which is open to all women of the parish.  They promote the spiritual, social and service life of the parish community.  Meetings are held monthly, from September through June.

Maintenance Volunteers...help with our preventative maintenance program and the parish ground.  Skilled or unskilled laborers of all kinds (painters, carpenters, plumbers, electricians, etc.) are most appreciated.

Money Counters...consist of five teams, counting our weekend collections.  Additional counters are most welcome.

Parish Picnic...is an annual summer parish event.  It provides an opportunity for community building along with fun, food, and games.  This highlight is a joint activity with our partners in faith, the Vietnamese Catholic Community.

St. Fiacre Guild (Patron Saint of Gardeners) helps plant and tend the gardens at Holy Spirit Parish.

Young In Spirit...is an organization for Seniors of the parish who meet one afternoon a month for food, fun, and conversation.  Guest speakers, entertainment, and day trips are some of the activities that are offered.
